The CorEdge Networks ATCA/AMC Reconfigurable Cutaway Carrier Card (CEN-RC2™) is a general purpose cutaway carrier that supports up to two user AMC modules in an ATCA system. By working in conjunction with optional CorEdge Networks’ switch cards, a wide range of local AMC-to-AMC and AMC-to-ATCA backplane switching can be supported. The reconfigurable architecture of the CEN-RC2 makes it an ideal solution for ATCA systems requiring AMC integration such as 3G wireless, media gateway, and embedded computing systems.
The CorEdge Networks’ CEN-RC2 was developed to provide maximum flexibility for ATCA/AMC solutions. The cutaway architecture supports full-height (6HP) AMC modules. Typical configurations would have user AMCs in bays 2 and 3 with optional CorEdge Networks’ switch cards in bays 1 and 4. Optional clock daughter cards enable the support of different clock implementations. An integrated Carrier IPM-Controller (IPM-C) provides all the required IPMI management for the AMC modules.
